The following is an example cover letter to include when submitting your documents to the Dominican Republic Consulate General to have your business legalized (the first step in registering your business in the Dominican Republic).

Enclosed please find the following to assist in the legalization of the incorporation document for [business name]: 

(1)   Incorporation document for [business name]

(2)   [Cashier’s check/Money order] for $80 payable to the Dominican Republic Consulate General

(3)   Federal Express envelope with pre-paid international air waybill, for legalized document to be forwarded to attorney Carmen Jaquez in the Dominican Republic.

Please send the legalized document to Carmen Jaquez instead of back to me.
