The treasure awaiting us on this tour of Ocean Star Estates is the lovely, secluded beach with its clear turquoise waters that all property owners of the development will have deeded access to. Here is the footpath we will take from Block J to get to the beach – it is only a short walk before you feel the sand beneath your feet and see the surf lap the shore. Won’t it be nice to fall asleep in your new house to the sound of waves?
 The beach at Ocean Star Estates joins the more than 1,000 miles of beaches in the Dominican Republic. Although the country’s law requires public access to all beaches, a real sense of privacy at this beach is created by the natural horseshoe shape of the coast, along with the quiet nature of Luperon.
Plenty of shorebirds can be seen along the coast here, with great egrets, American frigate birds, brown pelicans, blue herons, glossy ibis, ruddy ducks and flamingos all fairly common. If you are feeling adventurous, you might go snorkeling after our tour is over. You can enjoy the amazing variety of corals and tropical fish in the coral reefs just off shore.
