Welcome to the beautiful Dominican Republic island! We hope you enjoyed your flight into Puerto Plata, which means "Silver Port" in Spanish. This charming north coast city is a popular destination for tourists from all over the world who are seeking a relaxing vacation in a tropical climate. This inviting island has five mountain ranges, countless rivers, spectacular waterfalls, sweeping valleys and is surrounded on three sides with breathtaking beaches. Some of the world's finest amber is found on the North Shore, also billed as the Amber Coast, and its shores are lined with some of the Caribbean's finest resorts.

Puerto Plata's central location on the island makes it great for taking day trips. You may want to visit the eclectic beach town of Sosua, just 15 minutes east, with its three powdery golden sand beaches and turquoise water. Or Cabarete, a seaside town that attracts windsurfers and those seeking an adventurous vacation.

Today, though, we invite you to travel with us to Luperon, about an hour’s drive west of Puerto Plata. Located on a lovely large bay, most of the inhabitants of this quiet port town make their living through fishing in the area. We are going to tour an exciting new development: Ocean Star Estates.
